Level of Detail Example

Kourjet supports different levels of detail for meshes. A level of detail corresponds to the Geometry class. A mesh contains several geometries to represent different quality representations. You can then request (or automatically select) one of those geometries depending on the context (for instance if the object is distant, we choose a low quality geometry).

The LodTest example allows you to select manually a level of detail (using the + and – keys) for the sphere. Additionally you can have a look at the effect file (HLSL) in order to know how to combine phong shading and per-pixel normal mapping.
